Spring 2015 is Here!

Has your schedule changed this semester and you need to find a way to school or do you have an extra seat to share your ride? Post your daily ride needs on Zimride so we can help find you a match.

Great Minds Ride Together

Give yourself a raise! Take money out of your gas tank and put it back into your pocket. Post your daily commute or trip and find others who are going the same way. Share the costs. Share the ride.

Zimride Commute Calendar

Track your commuting patterns using our handy Commute Calendar. It not only tracks what form of transportation you are using but how many lbs of CO2 emissions and money you are saving. If you are looking for a commute partner, use Zimride to post and find a commute going your way.

What is UCSD Zimride?

Zimride is a fun and easy way to share the seats in your car or catch a ride. With Zimride, you can find UCSD friends, classmates, and coworkers going the same way you are. More than 10,000 UCSD rideshare postings have been made securely since 2010.

Who can use this site?

Zimride is the private rideshare community for UCSD. Zimride requires a UCSD PID / email and password to gain access.

Have a car? Need a ride?

UCSD Zimride helps you offer or request rides for commutes, road trips, and popular events. If you have a car, split costs by offering rides. If you do not have a car, find rides where you need to go.

Are rides only shared with UC San Diego?

When adding a ride, you can decide if you would like to share your ride with:
1) Only UC San Diego
2) UC San Diego + "Trusted Partners"
3) All Zimride networks (public)

If you decide to share a ride with someone in the UCSD network, we suggest you also ask who else will be joining the ride. If you only wish to share a ride with a member of the UCSD network, please confirm that the ride poster has not shared his or her ride with someone from the public network, or any place that can be viewed outside the UCSD network (i.e. bulletin boards, craigslist). Carpool matching services can be of assistance to those who want to form or expand a carpool. Participants are solely responsible for determining whether or when it is appropriate to meet with or share personal information with a potential carpool partner.
