Are you tired of the stress and hassle of commuting? Want to put money back into your wallet instead of your car? Univ. of Virginia has partnered with Enterprise Rideshare to offer a new option for getting to work. Vanpools are currently being formed from the Richmond area. For more information, please visit the UVA Vanpool page or contact Megan McDaniels.
Zimride is a private ridesharing network for UVa students looking for rides or wanting to share their ride. Zimride is easy and free to use. Employees can also find other employees to carpool with. Employees carpooling together are eligible for parking permit price reductions.
U. Va. Zimride requires a University of Virginia NetBadge. For information on setting up a NetBadge, please click here.
U. Va. Zimride helps you offer or request rides for commutes, road trips, and popular events. If you have a car, split costs by offering rides. If you don't have a car, find rides where you need to go.
All faculty, staff, and students are advised to carefully read the Zimride Terms of Service and to be sure they can fully abide by the terms and conditions set forth in the agreement before participating in this service. By participating you acknowledge that neither University of Virginia nor Zimride are responsible for the safety, comfort, successful travel arrangements, failed travel arrangements, personal belongings, or for any other liability with regard to your travel arrangements or the use of this system. Use caution when sharing contact or personal information. Never travel with someone you don't trust.
UVa encourages all users to view the Zimride Safety & Trust Guidelines before joining & use them as reference before each ride. It is important to: *Look for verifications and feedback on a user's profile & ask to see a valid driver's license before you ride. *Agree on a public meeting spot that is convenient and safe. *Leave feedback about your ride to help make the UVa Zimride community a better experience for all.
